Scandinavian View of Russian Reality

There are stereotypes about almost every nation: the British are pedants who like to talk about tea and the weather, the Germans are greedy, the French are rude.  Russians are often called drunkards and lazy people.  But is it really so?

Ida Jensen, Harald Björnsbo and Laura Dolzhenko came to St. Petersburg from two Scandinavian countries.  They are interns at the Danish Institute of Culture and the Norwegian Consulate who want to learn more about Russia and its people.  We talked with guests from northern Europe about the differences between Russians and Scandinavians, discrimination against foreigners in Russian society and stereotypes that are at odds with reality.
